It’s reassuring to know retirement doesn’t mean losing the life we love.

Hi, I’m David Longair. I’ve been with Paramount for two years, and my financial adviser is Keith Brooks, whom I knew prior when he worked with a previous company. 

My goal going into retirement was to make sure that I could still live my life in the same way that I was pre-retirement. I’ve made sure that I’ve got enough money to keep doing what I was doing before I retired. Otherwise, what’s the sense in retiring?

I initially got in touch with Keith when he worked for a different company. I thought he was very efficient and did a really good job of looking after my money and my pension. So much so that when he decided to move from that company, I asked if I could go with him. I had to wait a short period of time before I was allowed to go, but I went. 

I’ve only worked with two financial advisers, and Keith is by far the best because I can text or phone Keith anytime, and he normally gets back to me right away. 

Keith and Paramount helped me make a decision about when and how to retire. Not just that, he’s also helped my wife with her pre-retirement. She’s taking out her pension next year, and we’re both going to meet him at the beginning of the year to talk through the finances, my wife’s pension and her going down to three days’ work. So, it’s not just me; he’s helping my wife as well. 

I feel very positive about my financial future ever since I started working with Keith. The reason being, he can’t tell you for certain that your money is going to grow, and he does tell you and is honest with you that it’s going to go up and down – but, on an average year, it normally goes up by something. He never ever puts a percentage on it, but I just know that since I’ve been withdrawing from my pension on a monthly basis, that my pension has actually gone up, not down. So, that can’t do anything else but make you feel positive about your financial future.

One of the best things about working with Keith is that he’s honest and truthful. That’s two things. If he thinks you shouldn’t do something, he’ll tell you, and if he thinks you should, he’ll tell you. 

Three words I would use to describe Keith are positive, reliable, and helpful. 

I would definitely recommend Paramount and Keith to any of my friends, mainly because of what I’ve already said. He’s honest, he’s truthful, he doesn’t try to sugarcoat anything, and if you’re in a position to do what you want to do, he’ll tell you, and if you’re not, he’ll tell you.
